HI THERE, I'M ELIJAH!

I come from a background in the life sciences, psychology, and art—a mix that taught me how to ask thoughtful questions, see patterns, and make sense of complexity.
My experience in healthcare, especially during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, sparked an interest in bridging the gap between experts and everyday people. Most recently, I co-led Groundswell, a grant-funded design system developed with UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital to support oncology staff well-being.
I also love music and games, which drew me into world-building, where sound, story, and visuals intertwine to create immersive experiences. I enjoy keeping track of my progress, analyzing patterns, and finding ways to improve my learning along the way, including exploring new instruments.
I bring the same mindset to projects, treating each as its own world to organize, explore, and optimize.
MY VALUES
Find the Right Angle
By shaping the right story for specific audiences, I align stakeholders, clarify goals, and ensure everyone moves forward with shared purpose.
Small Wins
Impact often comes from small, deliberate steps rather than large, over-engineered solutions. Starting small builds momentum, focus, and space to iterate effectively.
Humanizing Data
Strong solutions are grounded in data, guided by human context. I balance quantitative insights with qualitative feedback to ensure decisions reflect real-world needs.
Trust Is the Foundation
Trust holds teams and projects together. I work to build relationships where feedback is honest, constructive, and rooted in shared goals, so collaboration stays open and productive.
